I'm looking to start a christian Homeschooling Co-op that will meet one day a week on Mondays starting the 2007-2008 school year. I have a meeting place lined up and will be teaching a history and crafts class myself. My son is autistic and 9 years old. He only does well with small, small groups. The Inspire Me Program is a creative, home-based learning experience for ages 7 through 14 run by 2 certified teachers each with 10 years experience in education...The Inspire Me Project partners with families to provide a unique educational model where students can discover their passions and talents in a flexible and personalized learning environment.
The Learning Model will include...
2 full days of project-based learning at our school.
2 days of family facilitated off-site learning. Families are the primary educators on non-classroom days and work collaboratively and in partnership with the classroom teacher on practice, preparation and extension work.
1 day per week will be designated for field-based learning experiences and/ or community involvement projects per student & family interests.
