Hello: My name is Sharon, and I have participated in the Community Home Education Program (CHEP) in Southern California for 6 years. I taught my daughter kindergarten through fifth grade in all subject areas under the supervision of a certified teacher liaison. I cannot say enough about the experience; it was wonderful! With the right materials supporting multiple intelligence learning and the attention given to details, one-to-one instruction is unbeatable. As a result, I returned to college and received a master's degree in education specializing in English Language Arts, and my daughter is now a freshman at a private college majoring in bio-chemistry.

As a family, we enjoy the Irish arts as an extracurricular activity. As a child of Deaf parents, I am also fluent in American Sign Language. With this language skill, I have been employed as an educational interpreter for the Deaf.

As a home school advocate, I would be more than happy to assist home schooling parents and their children in need of extra support.
