I am a homeschool parent/learning coach of a wonderful teen daughter, which I raise independently. Since 2002, I work as a substitute teacher's aide in public schools. Now,I also offer private tutoring services for Basic Reading, Writing, and Math Skills. I like the multi-sensory individualized teaching approach, with adaptive measures to accomodate various learners.

I have been classically homeschooling my children since 2004. This year we added an extra student to our homeschool and we have enjoyed having an extra child here during the day. I am interested in adding other students to my homeschool as well as discussing the possibility of a classical co-op or cottage school with other parents.

My 7 year old son has processing problems with reading. I have looked into the Lindamood-Bell center in Sacramento, have had him tested by a learning pychologist and the reading center, both concluded the need to teach him by another method. What do you have to offer? DO you know anyone trainded in the Lindamood-Bell curriculum and method of teaching?

Veritas School is a K-12 classical, Christian school of 255 students in its 10th year in 2006-2007. All of our 30+ graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities such as Wheaton, Hillsdale, Grove City and many others. We are currently beginning a capital campaign to build a 52,000 square foot building on five acres north of Newberg.

Heritage Christian offers the unique combination of a challenging classical curriculum, which includes logic, rhetoric and Latin, and Bible-centered Christian education for students in 6th through 12th grade. I am a home-school mom with one student. Three of my four children are no longer home-schooling --they are now 24, 21 and 18. The youngest is 16. My family uses the Robinson Curriculum - self-teaching method for the base and substance of our academic pursuits. Due to the success that I have seen with RC with my own students and others I also sell the curriculum and the additional G.A.Henty CD's and books --- it is my joy to speak to other people about how to implement the self-teaching approach.
