LearningRx, with centers in Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano provides cognitive skills training for students aged 5 and up. Unlike tutoring, which attempts to reteach academic information that your child should already have learned, our program first identifies the underlying cognitive skill deficiencies(e.g. attention, memory, reasoning,visual and auditory processing,)and then corrects them through our one-on-one brain-training programs. We have several home-schoolers in our programs and offer field trips for home schoolers.

I have to start my daughter in home schooling. I am not going to send her to a public setting where i belive it is hurting her. have you started a gruop study yet? My daughter is 14 and needs to begin today... she won't go to school. she has been absent for 2 weeks now... i am at a loss as to what to do... please contact me so maybe you can help us find our way.. there is so much information out there i get confused as to which is the best program...

Currently I tutor all subjects depending on the difficulty. I am in the central Orange county California area. Background
My research interests include the following: Composition and Literacy; Literacy as a State of Power; and Cultural Literacy. With extensive experience in assisting others with self-expression, I aim to utilize my degree and future graduate degree to impart knowledge of composition skills. My continuous goal as a researcher and curriculum developer is to find ways to bridge the gap of social inequity between at-risk students and the white collar industry.

The majority of students I have encountered in the last four years come from low- to middle-income families. Their motivation to excel in general education classes has been low, and most of them would be the first ones in their families to graduate with a college degree. My aim is to demonstrate the importance of literacy to them through real-life application writing assignments so they can see the connection between communication and economic power. Through these types of assignments, my personal mission of improving the quality of human lives is accomplished.
