ACE Homeschool Group is a Non-Directed Homeschool Support Group located in Colorado, with most members living in the south and east parts of metro Denver, including Aurora, Bennett, Centennial, Watkins and surounding areas. Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m John Trainor, the Dr. Trainor who has been responsible for the many strolling strings and orchestral performances in Denver and other public schools for about the last 30 years. I am retiring from the public schools, but not from music performance and teaching. I was home schooled as a child and I am currently trying to set up a program that would allow for children to have elective outside of the home. I know how important it is for children to have a social circle. This program would be through Fred Astaire Dance studios and we would take the children through an extensive program that would teach them how to dance. I am wondering how many parents would be interested in their children being in a elective program such as this. We are working to have the program count towards their final grade.
