San Antonio Home Education Resources and Opportunities (HERO) will host the 3rd Annual Learning Resource Roundup, July 29th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. This year's Roundup will feature nationally known, award winning, storyteller Jim Weiss who will have presentations and workshops for both children and parents. The conference will include information and activities for new and experienced homeschoolers and their families. There will be workshops, support groups, children's activities, museums, and much more. ArtsTeach will once again provide art activities for children and we are working on a new teen program as well. Mark your calendar for a conference you won't want to miss.

Mi Escuelita Tutroing Service offers tutoring from Pre-K through 6th. grade. My hours are Monday thru Thursday 9-11am for tots, 1-3 for homeschoolers and 4-7pm for afterschoolers. I have a B.A from the University of Texas at San Antonio and more than 25 yrs of experience within the educational environmnet; I am also a member of the National Tutoring Association(certification in progress). The subjects I tutor are Reading, Math, English, Spanish. I help the children with their homework and supplement with my own materials.

We have homeschooled off and on for the past 6 years due to family dynamics. However, we are here to stay Lord willing. This is our first year with a Classical Curriculum. I must say we love it. It has been what we have been looking for, for many year. We are excited for our 4 children to be able to pass this gift on to them.

We offer an in-home Christian Homeschool in grades Pre-K thru 12. Mrs. Beasley is a K-12 State Certified Educator with 13+ years experience teaching in both public and private arenas. Curriculum is diverse and student centered. Parents are encouraged to participate in as much of their child's learning as possible. Both traditional schedules and University model schedules are available.

Middle School Math Classes: Currently offering Saxon 8/7 on Tues/Thurs and Saxon Algebra 1/2 on Mon/Wed. Both sets of classes begin Sept.2 , 2008 from 8:15 to 9:15 with free tutoring between 9:15 and 9:30. Cost is $12 a week with an annual supply fee of $50. Please call 210-690-4925 to sign up.
