I'm looking to start a christian Homeschooling Co-op that will meet one day a week on Mondays starting the 2007-2008 school year. I have a meeting place lined up and will be teaching a history and crafts class myself. My son is autistic and 9 years old. He only does well with small, small groups. My 9 year old daughter and I have recently transported back to Austin. Previously homeschooled with a Waldorf group and are interested in sharing our time with like minded folks. She attended a small start up Waldorf school in Colorado last year. I work from home and she loves horses. Currently looking for an affordable home to buy outside of Austin where we can keep a horse.

Hello, I am the Director of Test Prep at House of Tutors in Austin and am always looking for people who need tutoring; I also hire qualified tutors throughout central Texas on a regular basis. Right now I have an opening for a homeschool tutor in Kyle. The position is MWF for 8 hours a day, at least through the end of the semester. The position pays well. The student is a junior in high school and his caretaker insists that instruction is in his home. The caretaker's niece may join to form a class. I am a parent interested in gathering several children that have special needs. They don't fit into a LifeSkills class, nor would they learn well in a tradional public school environment. Learning at grade level is not important -- reaching their potential is. My own child is a boy, 9 years old, social and behavioral skills positive.

I homeschooled 5 children for approximately 20 years and am now looking for full-time elementary teaching, and/or general tutoring and dyslexia therapy positions. I have a current Texas credential with certification for grades EC-4 and 4-8. I will have completed a dyslexia therapy training program in May, 2007 and will be certified with the Academic Language Therapy Association as a Dyslexia Teacher at the Associate Level upon successful completion of the ALTA exam in June. The dyslexia therapy program I teach is for people ages 7 - adult who have been diagnosed with developmental dyslexia and recommended for dyslexia therapy. I'm also available for general tutoring, especially in the language arts. If I have enough students during school hours, I may be able to do dyslexia therapy and general tutoring full-time, thus being able to serve more private students.
