San Antonio Home Education Resources and Opportunities (HERO) will host the 3rd Annual Learning Resource Roundup, July 29th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. This year's Roundup will feature nationally known, award winning, storyteller Jim Weiss who will have presentations and workshops for both children and parents. The conference will include information and activities for new and experienced homeschoolers and their families. There will be workshops, support groups, children's activities, museums, and much more. ArtsTeach will once again provide art activities for children and we are working on a new teen program as well. Mark your calendar for a conference you won't want to miss.

I am a retired elementary school teacher. I have taught all subjects over the past 30 years to 4th and 5th grade students. I taught in a multi-age situation with 4th and 5th graders for 10 years. My strength is math.

Middle School Math Classes: Currently offering Saxon 8/7 on Tues/Thurs and Saxon Algebra 1/2 on Mon/Wed. Both sets of classes begin Sept.2 , 2008 from 8:15 to 9:15 with free tutoring between 9:15 and 9:30. Cost is $12 a week with an annual supply fee of $50. Please call 210-690-4925 to sign up.

I am a certified elementary teacher with 8 years experience teaching all subject areas with a specialty in reading/language arts, mathematics (through middle school including Algebra and Higher Order Thinking Skills), and physical education. I have 6 years experience as an educational consultant training teachers on implementation of curriculum in the classroom to satisfy children's needs. I will begin a co-op in Northwest San Antonio in January 2006. I also provide tutoring services and small group instruction for hands on mathematics and reading/language arts.
