San Antonio Home Education Resources and Opportunities (HERO) will host the 3rd Annual Learning Resource Roundup, July 29th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. This year's Roundup will feature nationally known, award winning, storyteller Jim Weiss who will have presentations and workshops for both children and parents. The conference will include information and activities for new and experienced homeschoolers and their families. There will be workshops, support groups, children's activities, museums, and much more. ArtsTeach will once again provide art activities for children and we are working on a new teen program as well. Mark your calendar for a conference you won't want to miss.

Mi Escuelita Tutroing Service offers tutoring from Pre-K through 6th. grade. My hours are Monday thru Thursday 9-11am for tots, 1-3 for homeschoolers and 4-7pm for afterschoolers. I have a B.A from the University of Texas at San Antonio and more than 25 yrs of experience within the educational environmnet; I am also a member of the National Tutoring Association(certification in progress). The subjects I tutor are Reading, Math, English, Spanish. I help the children with their homework and supplement with my own materials.

I have seven years of experience teaching elementary school. I taught third grade for three years and second grade for four years. My specility is reading and language arts. If you have a child in first grade through fifth grade who has trouble with reading or language arts, I would love to help.

TEAMS homeschool co-op in NW San Antonio/Leon Springs We use Tapestry of Grace for history, worldviews and writing along with Apologia sciences. We began using Memoria press Logic this year and are adding Latin for the 2006/7 school year! TEAMS is an accountability co-op working toward training parents and students in excellence with a Christ first, relational approach to working in community together. As we've grown together we've also grown toward the more classical approach of education and apprecaite Memoria Press making this transition simple for us:)

I have 6 years experience as an educational consultant training teachers on implementation of curriculum in the classroom to satisfy children's needs. I will begin a co-op in Northwest San Antonio in January 2006. I also provide tutoring services and small group instruction for hands on mathematics and reading/language arts.
