San Antonio Home Education Resources and Opportunities (HERO) will host the 3rd Annual Learning Resource Roundup, July 29th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. This year's Roundup will feature nationally known, award winning, storyteller Jim Weiss who will have presentations and workshops for both children and parents. The conference will include information and activities for new and experienced homeschoolers and their families. There will be workshops, support groups, children's activities, museums, and much more. ArtsTeach will once again provide art activities for children and we are working on a new teen program as well. Mark your calendar for a conference you won't want to miss.

We have homeschooled off and on for the past 6 years due to family dynamics. However, we are here to stay Lord willing. This is our first year with a Classical Curriculum. I must say we love it. It has been what we have been looking for, for many year. We are excited for our 4 children to be able to pass this gift on to them.

We offer a Christian Homeschool in grades Pre-K thru 12. Mrs. Beasley is a K-12 State Certified Educator with 13+ years experience teaching in both public and private arenas. Curriculum is diverse and student centered. Parents are encouraged to participate in as much of their child's learning as possible. Both traditional schedules and University model schedules are available. Curriculum includes Saxon math & Saxon Phonics, Powerglide Spanish, Daily Grammar, Apologia science, & more.

I am homeschooling my K and 1st grader in Spanish. I am a certified elementary teacher with a specialization in Bilingual Education. I am currently looking at starting a dual language cottage in the NW San Antonio area for the 2007-08 school year.

I am a certified elementary teacher with 8 years experience teaching all subject areas with a specialty in reading/language arts, mathematics (through middle school including Algebra and Higher Order Thinking Skills), and physical education. I have 6 years experience as an educational consultant training teachers on implementation of curriculum in the classroom to satisfy children's needs. I will begin a co-op in Northwest San Antonio in January 2006. I also provide tutoring services and small group instruction for hands on mathematics and reading/language arts.
