Nielsen's House of Learning, located in Azle, Texas offers a variety of services. We have a fully stocked Teacher Supply Store, and ONLINE Teacher Supply Store, a private tutoring center, as well as Day Classes for Homeschoolers. We are trying to broaden our services and are entertaining the idea of becoming a cottage school or a private school. Most of our teachers/tutors are certified teachers and those who aren't have advanced degrees in their subject matter. Loving yet strict environment that pushes your student to the fullest potential. Girls and boys have seperate classes for math and English. Genders are mixed for Spanish and Literature class.

School of Music: Offering supplemental music classes for homeschooled children. Classes will consist of children age 6 - 10 in groups of 3 - 5. The class will meet once per week and will last 30 - 45 minutes depending on group size. The class will teach general musicality focusing on audiation, tonality, and rhythms through singing, movement, and piano.

I currently homeschool my 8 year old daughter. I also have a 2 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. My 6 year old has Autism (higher functioning with no anger problems)who is home when public school lets out. I'm looking for a mom who is homeschooling and needs a part time job where she can bring her child. The pay is negotiable and above average. My daughter's homeschool program is fairly easy and in place and she mainly needs to be monitored from one subject to the next with some guidance. I will be working with her in the evenings. Hello, I am a parent of a child that is going into the 9th grade and is currently enrolled in a public school (jr. high). Due to many circumstances, my child's father and I are wanting to homeschool our child through the ninth grade - it is possible that our child will be attending a private school starting in the 10th grade; or we may choose to continue homeschool through the 12th grade. We are not solidly decided on that as of yet. We believe that our child would benefit greatly from either having a tutor during this time as well as doing most of the curriculum on the computer (online). His father and I are at a lost regarding how to begin and make this work. I would love some feedback and information on how to make all this work as well as find the proper programs for the online homeschooling. Thank you for all advice!

CCP is a unique educational experience. There are multi age and grade groups in combined classes to achieve higher learning toward grade level and beyond. Classes are broken up by gender for core subjects to maximize learning. The program for 2008-2009 will allow up to three part time students (3 or 4 day “in class” days per week) and three or more full time students (5 days per week) in each classroom. The maximum is six students per room in order to give individual attention to each student. Students are grades 6th-8th. CCP welcomes students that have had difficulty with academics (one or more subjects), want to raise their Stanford Achievement test scores to a higher level, or for the student that has “not fit in” due to unique circumstances in a traditional setting. Each student is tested in math and English for their current ability and is worked with in small groups and individually to maximize their growth potential. We begin where your child is.
