Nielsen's House of Learning, located in Azle, Texas offers a variety of services. We have a fully stocked Teacher Supply Store, and ONLINE Teacher Supply Store, a private tutoring center, as well as Day Classes for Homeschoolers. We are trying to broaden our services and are entertaining the idea of becoming a cottage school or a private school. Most of our teachers/tutors are certified teachers and those who aren't have advanced degrees in their subject matter. Currently I am certified in NY and TX. I am fluent and accurate in the language, and will facilitate a set curriculum or create one addressing the objectives of one or a group of students. I am also interested in tutoring for standardized tests (AP, CLEP, SAT in Spanish), which impact college credit.

I have also taught S.A.T. classes, and willl start one soon (am teaching daughter S.A.T. prep. at this time.). I currently substitute during the day. I do not have a teaching certificate but recently graduated cum laude with an English Literature and history degree. I am very interested in teaching the Classical Curriculum (coodinated by Ms. Lowe) and learning to teach Latin. I may put together an introductory class using the classical curriculum, which will meet twice a week in the summer for ten to twelve year old boys (I already have three students.). Thank you!
