I am certified to teach regular education, as well as, special education students grades K-12. I have been teaching for 30 years. I specialize with students that have learning disabilities and /or students that have no motivation to go to school and to try their best anymore. God has blessed me with ways to get kids to reach for their potential and to give education a new look...

I graduated cum Laude from Missouri State University (nee Southwest Missouri State University) in 2002. In 2005, I completed coursework and a practicum in Secondary Foreign Language Education, graduating cum Laude in 2005 from UMKC. I've completed coursework towards an MA in Classics at the University of Kansas.

I am a certified teacher of German and Latin in both Kansas and Missouri, and have experience teaching middle school Latin, high school Latin, high school Etymology, high school German and tutoring Latin, German, Religion, Basic Computers, and English Grammar and Usage.

As corny as it may sound, Education is definitely my vocation. I recently returned to the classroom after breaking in order to pursue an advanced degree, and my experiences have made it blatantly obvious that teaching is exactly what I am meant to do. I love interacting with my students; struggling to help them understand when they struggle to understand, rejoicing in those "aha!" moments together, and serving as a mentor, role model and advocate to those whom might not otherwise feel that they have a voice.
