I have everything down to begin homeschooling my 2 sons ( 6th & 9th grades). I just need some advice on how I actually pull them out of the public school system with out getting into trouble! Do I go to their schools & just inform them in writing that they will begin on such & such date at home? I have a school records release form that I give to the superintendent ( I guess that's who I give them to ) I enrolled them thru an academy, who have sent me diagnostic tests to give to my sons, & then they will send me the curriculum that I will begin with. ( I was more comfortable beginning this way ) But, I just can NOT understand How I make that brake with the school! Please Help! Anyone who might live near my area,( Independence, Mo ). WHAT DID YOU DO to let them know?

i am wanting info on how to take my kids out of public school so that i may homeshool him but as not to get in any trouble. The stress on a child in public schools are crazy. need perfect clothes and supplys so other children will accept you to me this is too much for a child to go through. can anyone please help me as to where to start and how to do this the right way. any help is apprecated.
