We provide a Montessori based cottage school group in Geneva. We dedicated space in my home to create a beautiful environment custom designed for this purpose.

We have walking access to miles of nature trails and wetlands.

Our hands on materials support learners at many different academic levels. We have a capacity of seven students. We have five currently. Students must be above age five.

We allow children to discover their unique gifts and interests then follow these interests to help each student reach his or her individual best. When we see a child's eyes light up with possibility, we have succeeded.

We hope every child will fall in love with learning. It has been our experience that once a child discovers his or her inner motivation and the inherent fun in learning, they become hungry to learn about things they may not have been open to previously. Instead of having students study for a particular test or hastily write a paper, we hope to foster lifelong learners. Over time our students provide their maximum effort because they have learned to enjoy what they do.

Although this sounds unlikely at first, last year the students chose to read Plato, Aristotle, Socrates and Nietsche.

I have 14 years of teaching experience. I have worked with infants, toddlers, preschool children, kindergarten, early elementary, middle school and college students.

Unfortunately, I do not have experience with high school aged children.

Mom of 8 kids, homeschooled the first 3 until my divorce and ex-husband decided it wasn't good enough (Oldest was in 5th grade) and tried to use it against me. Now considering homeschooling my younger 4 children again (with new husband whining about the socialization issue).

I have three years homeschooling experience in the classical method. I also have experience leading co-op English and writing courses. I will be returning to school in the fall to get my MS in Education. I am available to do tutoring over the summer and/or helping lead co-op classes. I would also be willing to take on one to three homeschoolers in the fall.
