The Sprouted Acorn is an inclusive cottage school held in the private residence of a veteran homelearning family. The mission of The Sprouted Acorn is to pair area mentors with homelearning families of all backgrounds, ages and interests; to broaden the availability of learning experiences; and to provide opportunities for homelearning families to meet one another. Some fees apply. Ages of students vary according to the course or event.

For residents of Summitt and Cuyahoga County, we offer free tutoring on all subjects k-12 including ESL and 25 foreign languages. This is through Title 1 and the districts. I'm an author and former Cleveland State University instructor.

I volunteer for a group called Clear Path to Reading. We offer classes in Spell to Write and Read once a week in Kenmore, Norton and Hudson. Spell to Write and Read (websintegrity.com)is a phonetic based reading curriculum listed in Cathy Duffy\'s 100 top homeschool picks. It works for all learning styles and students including dyslexia. We also sell the program ($95.00 non consumable). You can reuse it everyone with the purchase of a new 2.00 notebook for all of your students. Lee Bradford also provides seminars in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for new teachers or parents to the program.

Traditional Catholic K-11 school featuring classical liberal arts curriculum with emphasis on Religion, History, Latin, study-memory skills training, multi-sensory teaching methods. Curriculum features monthly days of recollection for students, teachers, parents, annual 3 day spiritual retreat for parents and students, Latin Tridentine Mass. I am a teacher currently working for an online school. I hate it. I have homeschooled some of my own children and am a firm believer in home education. What I am looking to do is teach other people's children in my own home. I have six grown children and 16 grandchildren. I would need to charge about $15 per day per child to replace what I would lose by quitting my full-time job. I'm looking for parents who would like to homeschool their own children but cannot, for some reason. I just don't know how to get my idea out there!
