Hi my name is Shannon My husband and I have 4 kids 3 girls nicole 10, kyla 5, Kc 4, and 1 boy Logan 22 months. we are new to homeschooling and would love to meet other homeschoolers in the area and learn more we will not be starting homeschool till aug. and would love to learn everything that we can before we start.

The Danville School is a cottage school starting January 8, 2008 in Danville, Ky. Classes will meet Tuesday & Wednesday from 8:30-3:00 & Thursday will be planned field trips and outside learning. The rest of the days are for family learning. We will serve children age 5-11. We have a strong academic focus with an emphasis on keeping children engaged in learning through multiple modes of teaching. This school year the cost is $160 per month through May. Supply Fee TBD. INFORMATIONAL MEETING DECEMBER 8, 2007 2:30pm-3:00pm at COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER.

I am a 11-year veteran homeschooler who loves kids and has some interest and talent in the Language Arts. I have taught Beginning and Intermediate Latin to my own 4 children. I have also taught Introductory Greek to them. Ever heard of the Progym? These are the classical style beginning writing assignments. I have used this and the Classical Writing program and would be available for tutoring writing using this approach which also could include intensive English grammar study. I am available as a tutor in these subjects, whether to students that are homeschooled or to ones that are public or private-school taught.
