Banyan's intention is to cultivate an alternative learning community that learns, plays, works and creates together in supporting, informing, encouraging and empowering one another towards a humane, sustainable, peaceful future, for present and future generations. Banyan works to cultivate and develop community by bringing alternative learners together to create community based learning opportunities, experiences and activities. In so doing, we publish, hold meetings, develop classes and workshops, facilitate community service projects, host social events and celebrations, and produce fundraising programs, among other projects.
