Banyan works to cultivate and develop community by bringing alternative learners together to create community based learning opportunities, experiences and activities. In so doing, we publish, hold meetings, develop classes and workshops, facilitate community service projects, host social events and celebrations, and produce fundraising programs, among other projects.

I am certified teacher who is available to administer standarized tests to homeschoolers as well as being able to evaluate student portfolios to determine advancement into next grade level.

I am also available to tutor should parents need additional help. I have been teaching and tutoring for the past 5 years.

Based in the Hillsborough County Childrens Board, we are an independent tutoring and test prep company.

Our approach is unique in that we do not rely on rote memorization or lecture style as these methods show the lowest retention of material. Instead, our students meet with a certified educator who has ample experience in test preparation. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and have completed my Master's Degree in Management with a concentration in Information Technology, with a 4.0 GPA. I have over 20 years of experience as a trainer in business and am available as a tutor for both high school and undergraduate students. With each of my students, I place particular emphasis on written and verbal communications skills, study skills, and effective mastery of the English language.
