Students in grades 6-12 who would truly benefit our program would be: 1) students who do not have enough regular education credits to reasonably achieve a regular education diploma and want to work toward a G.E.D., but need more remedial work than is generally provided in a G.E.D. program. 2) students who have become bored with their school program because it is not challenging enough. 3) students who learn by hearing more than by reading. 4) students who enjoy using computers for learning activities. And 5) students who want to have a more flexible schedule for family activities or work opportunities but still meet the Georgia school attendance requirements. Limited enrollment!

I am planning to homeschool my 11-year-old daughter (sixth grade) next year. I am a reading specialist, M.Ed., with 10 years teaching experience, but I haven't taught for 20 years. We live in Atlanta, near the Moores Mill exit off of I-75. I would like to find other homeschooling children to study with Joy on a regular or occasional basis, school students who are interested in an afternoon study program, and events and activities in the area for homeschooled students.
