We are a Classical Christian School, member of The Association of Classical Christian Schools, in the heart of the Sandhills of North Carolina. We are in the resort, family, horse community of Southern Pines and Pinehurst. Our area has a large population of the military since we are conveniently located near Ft. Bragg. I am a community counselor, former school guidance counselor, who has homeschooled students, I\'ve nannied, and tutored. While working in a local church, with children of all ages, for the past 5 years, and reorganizing my community counseling profession, I\'m looking for part-time, or temporary work teaching, or tutoring. I spent 3 years, as an educational graphic designer for an Educational Biological Corporation, have a passion for Geology, and all sciences. My B.S. is in Psychology, which required courses in Biology, and Chemistry. My B.F.A. is in Fine Art and Design, a great motivator in learning science through projects, and My M.A. is in School, and Community Counseling.

I live a few miles from Gems Science in Concord, NC. I also love to tutor/teach History, and Social sciences, or any Art/Art History, including Philosophy. Have experience tutoring in a creative writing lab, and have taught Abeka Math and Language/Phonics ages 4-7. Great with behavioral problems, and children with disabilities.

I am a former international school teacher. I taught for ten years at Almaty International School (www.qsi.org). I am accustomed to teaching smaller groups of students; thus I feel tutoring would be a natural extension. I have taught algebra II/trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and biology.
