Homeschool families appreciate our school because homeschoolers can participate in sports and music programs at school. We offer private violin and piano lessons and homeschool children connect with the young people at the school. Homeschool students also come in during the week of testing to participating in the Stanford Achievement Testing. In our high school program, if students attend all four years of high school at FCA - they will receive a 75% tuition discount at Liberty University - a fantastic offer!

We are seriously considering homeschooling, using classical methodology, our 8, 6, 4, and 1 year old children, and are interested in possibly hiring a tutor for specific subjects. Tutor must be trained to teach using classical methodology.

Bradford Academy is a new Classical and Christian School in Mebane, NC. We are now enrolling students for kindergarten and first grade for the Fall of 2008.

We are a homeschool organization. We do everything that a regular school does except teach the children. The parents do that. We file all necessary forms with the state & county. Books,tests, curriculum & resource materials are included in the tuition costs.
We also do all recordkeeping, grade & keep records of all tests.
Diplomas issued when student graduates. Graduation ceremony can be arranged. (Some restrictions apply.)

I am a home educator of four children, ages 20-14, in the final five years of a twenty year venture of schooling at home. Currently, I'm exploring options of how and where to continue teaching after my children graduate. Opening a classical school is my first choice, yet I wonder how viable that notion is in this area. I would like to hear from anyone in the Roanoke--Martinsville, VA corridor who might have comments about this.
Tutoring in algebra and grammar and/or offering classical classes in history, the sciences, and literature are options that are under consideration. I would like to have more Latin before attempting to teach it to anyone other than my own. Advice and comments are welcomed.
