Homeschooling 16 yod, 14 yos, 13 yod, 10 yos, 6yod, 5yos, and 2yod. We have homeschooled from the beginning using a Charlotte Mason style, and have been leaning toward Classical for the last 6 years. I use Greenleaf Press, Veritas Press, and of course Memoria Press!

Homeschooling 5 yod and 8 yos with Sonlight. As we are new to the area, we are looking to meet other homeschoolers and/or groups for friendship and fellowship. I am a former elementary and preschool teacher with my BS.Ed. I have been classically homeschooling for two years. My son is 17 and using a Great Books based curriculum, and my daughter is 7, following much of the recommendations from The Well-Trained Mind. I can offer advice to those of you starting up, and am also offering tutoring services this summer. I taught my daughter to read using lots of phonics and lots of reading aloud--she is now breezing thru chapter books like Caddie Woodlawn as a first grader! It's an amazing process--can't take all the credit, but I know our method works.
I would like to find a position in a preschool or classical school next year, so if you know of an opening in a Christian school, please contact me. Thanks!
