BaHaCeHS exists to create an online forum to share resources, ideas and support among the homeschooling community within the North-Central corridor of Maryland. Our group has become a conduit for sharing information about the many wonderful opportunities available to homeschoolers in the area to include the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. Our geography lends itself to an amazingly wide array of fantastic and unique experiences for our children to expand their learning. BaHaCeHS is an online support group which is open to all members of the homeschool community, primarily to those in BAltimore, HArford, and CEcil counties of Maryland although we happily welcome members from the surrounding areas. We currently have members from many Maryland counties, Baltimore City and also Pennsylvania and Delaware.



BaHaCeHS is an inclusive, open forum of homeschooling families - many of whom belong to other specific homeschooling groups and umbrella programs. We are proud that our membership consists of a wide variety and broad range of religious and homeschooling philosophies. We expect every member to model tolerance and demonstrate respect to each other and focus our energy on supporting each other in our homeschooling efforts.



We have a large pool of knowledge, experience and expertise within our membership. Each homeschool family is unique, just as each child is unique. By being a member of BaHaCeHS, each member has access to wealth of resources and can tap into the community for advice and input. There are so many different thoughts and perspectives about teaching our children.



Everyone gains tremendously from the many posts to this group made by its members. There is so much information out there – none of us can discover it all on our own. Please share news of our group with your fellow homeschoolers; invite them to join us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BaHaCeHS.

I am in my mid-thirties and have two teenagers. I am beginning my senior year at Millersville University and expect to graduate in December 2006. My major is special education which will enable me to teach students in kindergarten through grade 12. I am interested in working as a home tutor in the Elizabethtown area. My education has provided me with many alternative teaching strategies that would benefit students who are struggling with schoolwork.

I have extensive training in The Orton-Gillingham Method of teaching from The Jemicy School, Wilson Language, Project Read and other training sources. I have been tutoring dyslexic students for more than ten years. My teaching method is multisensory and based on the students learning needs. In addition, I tutor spelling, writing and math along with helping students with their current home schooling work. Presently I'm available during the day for tutoring individuals or groups. We are a Kodokan Judo martial arts program. Judo is an official Olympic Sport, and involves no kicking or punching of any kind. We offer training for ages 8 to Adult. We also offer special training in association with the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) in Blind Judo for visually impaired students.

Fees are extremely reasonable at only $50 for 8-Weeks / 16 Classes.... We are a 501c3 Non Profit Club!
