I am home schooling my son, Ethan (age 6 - 1st grade). He's studying all the req'd subjects in an awesome way, reading WAY beyond the 1st grade level, and flying through his lessons! Plus he's learning french, spanish, sign language, dance, drama and manual drafting this year! We're really excited to be teaming up for his education.

I am home schooling my son for first grade. We are in serious need of more interaction with other children near his age and families.
Also, I would love to teach your child for you if you cannot. The IHIP that I wrote completely myself was reviewed by a retired Elementary Teacher and she was VERY impressed. This year, we are studying the four basics: math, english, science and social studies, as well as french, spanish, sign language, music, creative arts, drama, manual drafting, dance, and yoga. I am also a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor AND I have the complete teaching curriculum for the Indigo Dreams program for children, which teaches meditation and "anger management" to children.
Lastly, I have written a children's book about my son who gets "the grouchies" one day (illustrated as little nasty faerie-like creatures that stimulate his outbursts), then he recalls hearing mom lead her yoga students with a guided meditation and visualizes lying on the beach, feeling the ocean waves taking away "the grouchies."
We need friends to share our educational experience with.

I have been trained in and have incorporated numerous teaching methods in my classes including Orff-Schulwerk, Fierabend, Weikert, Kodaly-Curwen, and Gordon. You and your child can choose the curriculum that best fits your child's learning style and interests. Music theory, history, traditional dance and song, world music, and composition are a few of the many subjects you may choose to discover in your homeschool music class.
