St. Gregory's is a classical, Catholic homeschool cooperative that meets on Thursdays for 30 weeks during the school year and offers classes in Latin, writing, history and science. We meet at the historic St. John church in Orange, NJ drawing families throughout Northern New Jersey - Union, Essex, Hudson, Somerset, Morris, Passaic, Bergen and Sussex Counties. Classes start in September and run through May.

I have home schooled for 8 years. I have five children, four of whom I homeschool. They are an 11yr. old girl and 2 boys and a girl, 9 years of age(triplets). I have used just a little bit of Charlotte Mason Classical Teaching with two of the children while letting the others use Switched On Schoolhouse. I would now like to introduce all of them into the Classical Studies. I need all the help I can get. We live in Bridgeport, Ct.

I am an 8th year homeschooling mom of three. I have taught Latina Christiana I and II for the past three years from grades 4-9. I am accepting students for a spring class up to 10 students ages 9 and up. I have a college degree in Theatre and currently serve as Director of Dramatic Arts at Walnut Hill community Church in Bethel CT. I direct a Young Actors Workshop for ages 10 and up and am currently accepting students for both the winter mini-session (3 weeks) and spring session (10 weeks). I have directed drama for over 20 years.

I have sixteen years experience with a teaching background and proficiancy in nursery school, kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and sixth grade. My wish for every student is that they learn "how to be their own person". Individuals able to do the "right" thing. I recieved my Masters at C.W. Post where I received the Distinguished Performance Award in Early Childhood. My BS, in Education was received at SUNY Oneonta. I mentored several student teachers from Dowling College. My experiences included designing and presenting various workshops to staff, including utilizing positive reinforcement in discipline, cooperative learning, writers workshop, and "Math Their Way". I had the unique experience of teaching at a school that recieved the National Recognition Award in Education (Moriches Elementary). I have two children, a girl age 15, and a boy age 12. Through the understanding and perspective that I expect of my children's learning experience, I would no less provide to the children of others'. This above all else is the teaching ideal I wish to project for every student who comes across my path.

At the beginning of the program, the director and tutors will determine if students will use their own school materials or take advantage of the materials we have at our center. In some cases it is suggested that parents purchase workbooks that targets their child's academic weaknesses.
