Science and Arithmetic are my child's strongpoints. He is an excelent reader and a good little artist, and he enjoys cooking, legos, bicycling and visiting new places. He is entering third grade. mother frustrated with public school.
I had a seventh grader who could not do BASIC math.
Adding and subtracting.
I home schooled for a year. When I sent the child back to public school ( he missed his friends)
I have had nothing but grief.
My son recently applied to a tech. High school.
They want last years home schooling grades CERTIFIED.
Son`s school district has NEVER certified home schooling grades before.
Nobody is sure on how to do it.
I have a call in to Hartford Ct. The Ct board of Ed. is there. I am waiting for an answer.
My son`s school is insulted , because according to them . The Tech. H.S. has no right to ask for the grades to be certified.
Does anybody in CT. know how to get home schooled grades certified??

I am an 8th year homeschooling mom of three. I have taught Latina Christiana I and II for the past three years from grades 4-9. I am accepting students for a spring class up to 10 students ages 9 and up. I have a college degree in Theatre and currently serve as Director of Dramatic Arts at Walnut Hill community Church in Bethel CT. I direct a Young Actors Workshop for ages 10 and up and am currently accepting students for both the winter mini-session (3 weeks) and spring session (10 weeks). I have directed drama for over 20 years.

I conduct a Catholic apostolate called "The Fullness of Truth" in western Massachusetts. Part of this apostolate includes teaching a weekly four year course on catechesis/apologetics to both teenagers and adults. I'm able to offer selections from this course in a reduced one or two year program, or even as occasional talks to groups of students.
